With an international background, including performances in Israel, Europe, and Mexico, Monica is a musician, songwriter, dancer, designer, illustrator, and interactive teacher. Her unique illustrative style defines her educational and artistic projects, showcasing a dedicated commitment to nurturing creativity in others.
Felipe is a drum performance graduate from the renowned Cornel School of Contemporary Music in Los Angeles. With a background as a multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer, and producer, Felipe’s musical journey is diverse. Beyond his solo career, he is co-producing the second album for his project Oliva and the debut album for his instrumental quintet, Desmadres of Invention. Not confined to just music, Felipe is also a Traditional Astrologer, teacher, and Marseilles Tarot reader specializing in various areas, including medical, psychological, spiritual, and mundane matters. He is a graphic and web designer and video producer. His multifaceted skills and dedication highlight his exceptional contributions to the MAI project.
Kristen Hein Strohm, a wildlife biologist and watershed restoration planner with 25 years of experience, is an environmental educator with teaching credentials in biology and earth science. As the Programs Director for Wolf Creek Community Alliance, Kristen leads habitat restoration projects, watershed education programs, and water quality monitoring in the Wolf Creek Watershed. She is actively involved in partnership programs aimed at protecting creeks and wildlands and their connection to public health. Alongside her husband and their band, Riparia, Kristen writes and sings original “geo-folk” songs rooted in the ecology of the Sierra region. Throughout her various roles, Kristen is known for her contagious enthusiasm and visionary approach.
Julie Romano, a versatile visual artist, was born in France and graduated from a cinema school in 2008 in Paris. Her specialization in documentary was driven by a deep fascination with the beauty and storytelling of our daily lives. After almost 13 years in the Cinema Industry, she transitioned to Grass Valley, CA, where she now works locally in Nevada County as a video/photographer, capturing the stories of families, artists, and entrepreneurs. She is also a healer and weaves the healing arts with her Camera.
